Held in torrential rain on June the 12th the Sentebale Polo Cup was a great success especially for the Duke of Cambridge’s polo team who won the round robin tournament, beating his brother who played in the Sentebale team and the Bin Drai Team. Sentebale’s co-founder Prince Seeiso braved the weather to present the prize giving, and to commiserate with Prince Harry
After a wonderful dinner from Coworth Park, Hugh Edmeades from Christie’s took to the floor to run the auction which included some amazing lots, including a Tracey Emin Neon, a luxury safari in Botswana, a private dinner cooked by Tom Aikens and a bespoke-made handcrafted jewelry piece by Sabine Roemer. The 18k whitegold bracelet was set with Diamonds, Rubies and Sapphires, which was inspired by the “forget-me-not-flower” of the Sentebale Logo.
All the proceeds from the event will go towards improving the lives of vulnerable children and young people in Lesotho.
